An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist (Basic Grade) to join the Bon Secours Health System Hospital Galway. Ireland's Largest Private Healthcare provider.
The post holder has a pivotal role in coordinating activity and resources within the Occupational Therapy department service, ensuring a holistic and appropriate therapy service is provided to patients. Responsibility for current service provision and development as part of the overall service planning and delivery.
The person holding this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient always comes first and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree. Maintain throughout the Hospital awareness of the primacy of the patient in relation to all hospital activities. Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and review of treatment / intervention programs for patients according to service standards. Communicate verbally and/ or in writing results of assessments, treatment/ intervention programs and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with requirements. Attend ward rounds, team meetings, case conferences, clinics, etc. as designated by Senior Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapy Manager.
