Job summary

Medmark Occupational Health is seeking a Registered General Nurse with 2+ years of occupational health experience to join our clinic team at Dublin Airport. You will ensure regulatory compliance and develop records, equipment and programmes for occupational health services.

Key duties include pre-employment medicals, risk assessments, VDU ergonomics, vaccination clinics and return-to-work planning. Strong communication, organisation and team-working skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Health is essential (we are open to meeting students working towards an Occupational Health qualification).
  • Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI registration.
  • Competency in Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU ergonomics & administration of vaccines.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal, empathy and listening skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills including time management with proven track record of prioritizing key tasks and delivery to a high professional standard.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of pre-employment medicals, interpretation of results and compiling reports.
  • Carry out risk assessments across the organization as required.
  • Coordinate completion of VDU Ergonomics programme and assessment.
  • Devise a plan to improve employee wellbeing and reduce absenteeism levels.
  • Liaise with OHPs, GPs, Physiotherapists and Consultants in managing cases.
  • Develop return to work plans following injury or illness.
  • Management and follow-up of needle stick/splash injuries.
  • Provide reports/updates to Managers.
  • Coordinate vaccination clinics for influenza/hepatitis B etc.

Job description

You will be working as part of the team located in Medmark clinic at Dublin Airport.

  • Devise a clear coordinated plan to improve employee wellbeing and reduce absenteeism levels.

  • Developing return to work plans following serious injury or a period of prolonged ill health.
  • Management and follow-up of needle stick/splash injuries.
