Job summary

Agape Global in Ireland is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for a reputable nursing home. You will lead nursing teams, shape care plans, and oversee regulatory compliance. The role requires strategic scheduling, budget involvement, and continuous quality improvement.

Applicants should hold a management qualification and be a Registered General Nurse with extensive experience in elder care. Flexibility and strong leadership are essential to drive patient-centered care and staff

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years post-registration nursing experience.
• At least 3 years’ nursing experience with older persons in the last 6 years.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for residential care centres.
• Ability to manage workload and respond flexibly to short notice.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and learning in the residential home.
• Ability to influence others and build constructive relationships.
• Experience establishing KPIs and quality assurance with the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training nurses and monitor nurses.
• Manage clinical operations and develop care plans.
• Prepare the daily schedule and planning shifts.
• Ensure nursing staff follows departmental procedures and policies.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
• Conduct patient rounds and address complaints.
• Evaluate the department's performance and recommend improvements.
• Schedule staff meetings for patient updates, issues, and recommendations.
