Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Dublin seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing practice and drive strategic change. You will report to the CEO and partner with the Chief Director of Nursing and Quality & Patient Safety Officer to deliver the BSHS 2030 plan and ensure high-quality patient care.

You will oversee workforce planning, education funding, and performance reporting while maintaining regulatory standards and driving innovation and excellence across nursing services.

Qualifications

• Senior nursing leadership experience.
• Strong budgeting and financial management.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies (NMBI/HIQA).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and operational leadership to Nursing staff.
• Lead workforce planning, staffing allocations and budget adherence.
• Develop and implement an integrated nursing strategy aligned with the organisation's plan.
• Promote quality and safety through governance and accreditation processes.
• Represent the Hospital in regional and national nursing forums.
