Job summary

Mowlam Healthcare's Killarney Nursing Home in County Kerry seeks an experienced Director of Nursing to lead a dedicated team in a 56-bed facility delivering residential, dementia and respite care. You will implement the Company's Quality of Care System, maintain HIQA standards, manage budgets and HR, and foster links with the local community to enhance resident well‑being.

The role requires an RGN with at least 3 years' recent management experience in elder care, a post‑registration management

Qualifications

• Qualified RGN with at least 3 years' experience in older person care.
• Post-registration management qualification in health or related field.
• No less than 3 years' management experience in health and social care.
• Registered on NMBI live register.
• Proven healthcare clinical management track record.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing and social care delivery to meet residents' needs.
• Ensure HIQA standards and company policies are followed.
• Manage budgets and financial administration.
• Oversee staff induction, training, and development.
• Build community links and liaise with external agencies.
• Monitor complaints and drive continuous improvement.
