Job Description:

Clarity is recruiting RGNs and RMs for the Public Health Team with the HSE in Dublin South West, covering Ballyboden, East and West Tallaght. The roles involve working within Primary Care in the PHN service, as part of multidisciplinary teams delivering coordinated client care. Community Nurses are expected to uphold high standards of nursing care, share responsibilities for patient management and environment, and maintain professional and ethical standards.

The work base is the Primary Care Centre, with care delivered both in clients’ homes and clinics. Own transport is required, with travel allowances available. The service operates Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

  • Negotiable working week for the right candidate
  • Standard hours 9-5, Monday to Friday, with weekends off and no late nights
  • Part-time and set hours options available
  • 2-3 weeks of training provided for new nurses
  • Nurse-led service offering autonomy
  • Opportunity to progress to PHN work and specialise as a CNS in acute settings
  • Great for midwives interested in newborn assessments in the community
Responsibilities:
  • Wound care management (clinic and domiciliary)

  • Post-hospital discharge or GP referral assessments
  • Care for chronically ill or disabled patients
  • Oncology support and end-of-life care
  • Home support assessments
Candidate requirements:
  • NMBI registration in good standing
  • Preferably general nursing, but midwifery or paediatrics considered; dual qualifications advantageous
  • At least 1 year post-registration experience in an acute setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical and professional expertise
  • Community nursing experience preferred but not essential
  • Training and orientation provided
