Job summary

SME Careers is assembling a small panel of nuclear and radiological professionals to audit how AI models respond to sensitive questions in the field. You will classify requests, mark each answer safe or unsafe, and explain your reasoning.

This role focuses on nuclear safety, safeguards and radiation protection, with emphasis on rigorous evaluation and cross-model comparison. Open to EU residents and individuals meeting regional eligibility.

Qualifications

• Typically a relevant degree and five or more years of professional experience.
• Experience reviewing technical work against standards (licensing/inspection) or AI red teaming is a plus.
• Experience with nuclear safety, safeguards or radiation protection is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Audit how AI models respond to sensitive questions in nuclear and radiological contexts.
• Classify requests as benign, dual-use, or adversarial and evaluate model outputs.
• Rank model responses and describe the reasoning for safe and unsafe answers.
