Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring a Staff Nurse for a top nursing home in Ireland. The role focuses on delivering person-centred nursing care to residents, with emphasis on safety and quality under NMBI standards.

You will assess and update care plans, administer medications, monitor clinical changes, and lead a care team while maintaining documentation and HIQA compliance. English fluency is required and Garda vetting may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must be registered General Nurse with NMBI.
• Active NMBI registration.
• Experience with older persons preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care in accordance with NMBI standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for residents.
• Administer medications safely and accurately in line with organisational policies and guidelines.
• Monitor, document, and respond promptly to changes in residents’ clinical conditions.
• Provide leadership, support, and supervision to care staff during shifts.
• Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and overall quality of life.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, policies, and evidence-based best practices.
• Contribute to a positive, person-centred care environment and continuous quality improvement.
