Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Night Porter to support guest services and property cleanliness across our Dublin area hotels. The role includes welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, and ensuring the lobby and public spaces are well maintained.

The successful candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles, strong English communication, and the ability to thrive in a busy hotel environment while supporting a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Check in and out hotel guests and assist with guest requests related to luggage/porterage.
• Ensure cleaning of hotel areas including lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant and bar floor, public and staff areas and meeting rooms.
• Follow nightly checklist and assist with set-up of function rooms and breakfast area as directed by the manager on duty.
• Maintain clean and tidy front entrance and exterior areas; empty bins and pick up rubbish.
• Understand hotel fire procedures to ensure safety of staff and guests at all times.
• Set up meeting rooms as required.

Your Job

• Check in and out hotel guests as required, as well as assist with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.
• Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel, including but not restricted to the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant and bar floor, public and staff areas and the meeting room floor.
• Responsible for cleaning other areas as directed by the manager on duty and also as per the nightly checklist, which may include the set-up of function rooms, the breakfast area, etc.
• Responsibility for the front entrance and outside of the hotel and ensuring that it is clean and tidy at all times. This includes emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc.
• To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests at all times.
• Responsibility for setting up meeting rooms.
