Job description

The Maryborough Hotel are currently looking for a new addition to join them.

We have an opening for an Evening Porter for 3 to 5 nights per week.

Responsibilities
  • Clearing and washing certain kitchen equipment.
  • Helping the kitchen team where possible.
  • Clearing and setting up of meeting rooms and function areas as per function sheets.
  • Making sure each room is matching to what is needed.
  • The cleaning of the public areas of the hotel including, but not restricted to reception, stairways, restaurant and bar floor.
  • The cleaning of back of house areas, where needed as well as any other areas required by management.
  • Responsibility for the front entrance and outside of the hotel and ensure that it is clean and tidy at all times. This includes emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc.
  • To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure safety of all staff and guests at all times.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in work in hospitality.

The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team.

A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
