An exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate and committed individual to step into the role of Night Operations Manager at Castleknock Hotel.

We're looking for someone who loves providing excellent guest services, values teamwork and collaboration, and has the ability to take command and lead with confidence. This is the perfect opportunity to join and lead a nights team that works as one, supports each other, and makes a real difference every night.

The Role:
  • Manage and be accountable for all Night time operations of the hotel
  • Work in conjunction with Heads of Department to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their departments in their absence
  • Leading, Coaching and monitoring the nights teams in each area of the Hotel
  • Hotel security
  • Reception duties including answering guest requests and telephone enquiries
  • Responsible for fire and health & safety during the night, ensuring fire walks are carried out & recorded
  • Delivering excellent customer service, ensuring every guest experience is to the highest standard of care, professionalism and friendliness
  • Assisting the F&B team to serve late drinks & set up for the breakfast shift
  • Providing efficient room service for guests
  • Completing night audit, printing night reports and cashing up night bar till
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with guests, anticipating their needs where possible
  • Managing the lobby and entrance during the night
  • Ensuring public areas are cleaned & left ready for business the following day
  • Promoting and encouraging a respectful and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, for the team and for our guests

  • Be the go-to person for decision-making and problem-solving overnight
  • Ensure that clear and concise communication flows to and from the nights team to complete the 24 hours of operations in the Hotel
  • To be responsible for the operations of the F&B and C&B departments during the night and assisting the teams with any issues
  • To be the point of contact for event organisers during the night
  • To ensure all front of house areas in C&B and F&B are clean, tidy and set for following morning
The Ideal Person for this Role:
  • Will have worked as a Night Manager in a Hotel for a minimum of 3 years
  • Has proven ability to deal with challenging situations in a professional but firm manner ensuring that the Safety of all parties is prioritised at all times
  • Is confident in making decisions on the spot and managing changing priorities, while taking accountability for these actions
  • Has strong knowledge of Opera, Micros and Alkimii systems
  • Has fluent spoken and written English with excellent communication skills
  • The ability to engage confidently with guests to ensure that excellent customer services standards are maintained at all times
