We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our esteemed 4-star hotel client in Naas, Co. Kildare, for the position of Nights Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic individual with previous hotel supervisory experience to take the next step in their hospitality career. Strong customer care and interpersonal skills are essential.

About the Role

As Nights Manager, you will oversee the smooth operation of the hotel during night-time hours, ensuring guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services & Front Office:

  • Oversee late check-ins/early check-outs
  • Manage special guest requests and room relocations
  • Provide late bar service
  • Resolve guest issues professionally and empathetically
  • Set up meeting and function rooms
  • Coordinate with housekeeping for early morning room readiness
  • Ensure public areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Maintain seamless communication between night and day shifts

Safety & Security:

  • Monitor CCTV and conduct property walk-throughs
  • Respond to emergencies and apply safety procedures
  • Report any suspicious activity or potential hazards

Night Audit & Reporting:

  • Complete nightly financial audits and reconcile transactions
  • Prepare occupancy, revenue, and incident reports for management
  • Maintain compliance with financial and operational procedures

Team Leadership:

  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of senior management
  • Supervise and support overnight staff including bar staff, porters, and security
  • Conduct nightly briefings and delegate tasks
  • Uphold hotel standards and provide feedback and coaching as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous hotel supervisory experience is essential
  • Proficient with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, HotSoft, or similar)
  • Strong customer service ethos with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Self-motivated with excellent multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills – fluent English (written & oral)
