Job summary

The Vet Office in Dundrum, South Dublin, is seeking an experienced ECC Night Veterinary Nurse to join our modern hospital on a structured part-time night rota. This role involves emergency triage, intensive nursing of critically ill patients, IV access, fluid therapy, anaesthesia monitoring, and detailed handovers.

You will work with a supportive team, mentor juniors, and contribute to high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• RVN with 5+ years' small animal experience.
• VCI registration confirmed.
• Comfortable with emergency and critical care.

Responsibilities

• Emergency triage and stabilisation.
• Intensive nursing of critically ill patients.
• IV catheter placement, fluids and medication administration.
• Anaesthesia monitoring and recovery.
• Monitoring vital signs and pain management.
• Diagnostic testing.
• Supporting emergency procedures and surgery.
• Resuscitation and emergency response.
• Detailed clinical handovers and patient records.
• Mentor junior team members and develop ECC knowledge.
