Job summary

Scouting Ireland seeks a Programme & Operations Officer for Larch Hill National Scout Centre to lead development, coordination and delivery of programmes and adventurous activities across centres. You will provide operational support to ensure high-quality experiences for visitors and collaborate with the Centre Manager and National Scout Centres team.

The role focuses on activity delivery, instructor recruitment and coordination, and programme development.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications and/or proven experience in adventurous/outdoor delivery.
Experience training, mentoring or assessing instructors.
Experience recruiting and coordinating instructors or seasonal staff.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and programme coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate programmes and activities across the National Scout Centres.
Deliver adventurous activities and programmes as required.
Create activity packages for Scouts, schools, youth organisations and external groups.
Support the development of new activities and programme opportunities.
Ensure consistency and quality of programme delivery across centres.
Support the planning and delivery of large groups, camps and events.
Maintain the ability to deliver and train others across the adventurous activities offered by the National Scout Centres.
Recruit, coordinate and manage freelance activity instructors.
Coordinate instructor availability and activity staffing across the National Scout Centres.
Develop and maintain appropriate activity session plans and programme resources.
