Job summary

Arts Council in Dublin is seeking an Application Support Manager to lead policy formulation, development initiatives, grant and relationship management and to deliver the Arts Council’s strategic objectives and corporate plan. You will manage a team, partner with the Head of Team, and oversee award payments.

Reporting to the Performing Arts Director, you will drive cross-organisational projects under the MGAW strategy, supporting arts development across the sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ relevant experience.
• Commitment to the development of the arts form.
• Understanding of the policy environment for arts development.
• Understanding of strategic issues in arts development.
• Ability to think analytically and communicate clearly.
• Good interpersonal skills including negotiation.
• Experience in strategy development and implementation.
• Experience in managing funding and client relationships.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Commitment to high standards of public service.
• Proven ability in management and administration.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of the MGAW strategy and objectives.
• Lead designated arts staff.
• Motivate and support team members.
• Establish, develop and manage funding relationships.
• Deliver funding rationale and recommendations.
• Identify current profile and emerging trends.
• Provide expertise to support sound policy making.
• Develop and implement initiatives/programmes.
• Perform other duties appropriate to the Grade.
