Job summary

Henderson Foodservice is seeking a professional Multi Drop Driver (Cat C) based at Clonshaugh Depot, Dublin. You will manage depots, deliver to customers, and maintain documentation with a strong focus on safety and service quality.

The role requires a valid Cat C licence, CPC up to date, Tachograph card, and excellent English. Expect a 39-hour core week with potential overtime and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, in-date Category C licence.
• Possess a valid, in-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC up to date).
• Possess a Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good geographical knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas.
• Able to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Loading and securing of all goods at the depot.
• Ensuring all documentation is correct prior to departing from depot.
• Delivering the goods in first class condition to the agreed location.
• Ensuring the appropriate delivery documentation is signed.
• Collecting and documenting all product returns.
• Maintenance of the lorry (hygiene, daily checks).
• Cage control and accountability.

Earning Potential: We pay an hourly rate of €23 per hour plus tax-free subsistence allowance of €17 per qualifying day worked. Overtime rates equivalent to approximately 1.5x paid after 40 hours.

Main duties include:

• Loading and securing of all goods at the depot.
• Ensuring all documentation is correct prior to departing from depot.
• Delivering the goods in first class condition to the agreed location.
• Ensuring the appropriate delivery documentation is signed.
• Collecting and documenting all product returns
• Maintenance of the lorry (including vehicle hygiene plus daily water/oil/fuel checks),
• Cage control and accountability.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Essential Criteria:

• Hold a valid, in date current Category C licence
• Possess a valid, in date Driver Qualification Card (CPC up to date)
• Possess a Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a good geographical knowledge of the Dublin and surrounding areas.
• Able to deliver outstanding Customer Service
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Desirable Criteria:

• Relevant Class 2 driving experience
• Multi-drop delivery/collection experience
• A good knowledge of vehicle refrigeration
• A good knowledge of tail lift operation
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of good manual handling procedures
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations, tachograph legislation and Irish working time legislation applicable to road transport workers.

Hours and days of work: The successful applicants will have a core contract of 39 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7, job to finish and overtime as required, which may include 6th day working.
Our drivers enjoy flexibility in their start times, typically between 4am and 5am. You’ll have the independence to plan your departure from the depot in a way that suits you, as long as customer deliveries are completed efficiently and to our high service standards.

The selection process: The selection process will involve an interview, after which you may be invited to complete a driving assessment.
