Job summary

PSC Biotech is seeking a Lab Technician for the Process Sciences Lab at our state-of-the-art facility in Dunboyne. You will contribute to the execution of end-to-end process operations for biologics manufacturing and support daily lab activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in a relevant field, a solid understanding of GMP and data integrity, and familiarity with lab administration.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory expectations, data integrity, and quality systems.
• Experience with lab operations and lab administration preferred.
• Understanding of upstream and downstream unit operations for biologics manufacturing.
• Effective communicator with ability to work in a diverse cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Support readiness and execution for end-to-end process operations for scale-down models for Fed Batch Manufacturing satellites.
• Support equipment maintenance, cleaning, solution preparation, and lab administration tasks.
• Contribute to safety documentation, work Instructions, and SOPs.
• Work as part of a dedicated laboratory team with flexibility and teamwork.
• Some weekend work may be required.

Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lab Technicianin the Process Sciences Lab as part of the Manufacturing Science and Technology(MS&T) group at our state-of-the-art, single-use, multi-product facility .The Lab Technician is responsible for contributing to the overall running ofthe Process Sciences Laboratory and working across site as part of a diverseand interdisciplinary team to build capability and knowledge in the manufactureof biologics .

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support readiness and execution activities for end-to endprocess operations for scale down models for Fed Batch Manufacturingsatellites, technical study support and analytical testing.
  
• Support equipment maintenance and cleaning, solutionpreparation and lab administration tasks to assist a team of scientists indaily delivery of experiments.
  
• Conduct all work activities with a strict adherence tothe safety and compliance culture on site.
  
• Support the authoring of safety documentation, workinstructions and standard operating procedures.
  
• Work as part of a dedicated laboratory team whereflexibility and teamwork are a key requirement.
  
• This role is a site-based role and due to nature of thework in the Process Science Lab, some weekend work may be required.
  

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• A Level 8 qualification in a science or engineeringdiscipline desired. Level 7 with relevant experience will be considered.
  
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant field.
  
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory expectations,data integrity, and quality systems relevant to laboratory and manufacturingsupport activities.
  
• Familiarity with lab operations and experience of labadministration is preferred.
  
• Understanding of Upstream and Downstream Unit Operationsfor biologics manufacturing and Analytical testing is preferred.
  
• Effective communicator with the ability to thinklogically and be proactive under pressure and work as part of a diversecross-functional team.
