Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures with independent judgment. The role includes patient preparation, educating patients about the exam, and ensuring image quality through appropriate parameter selection.

The position requires relevant radiologic certifications, CPR, and adherence to safety and HIPAA practices. This role may involve contrast administration and equipment troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical training in radiologic technology.
• Certification in radiography or related modality required or soon-to-be-obtained.
• MRI certification or ARMRIT preferred/required within milestone period.
• CPR certification and background checks as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures with quality control checks.
• Explain procedures and equipment to patients to ensure cooperation.
• Prepare contrast media if ordered and monitor patient condition.
• Set up equipment, select exposure factors, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
