Basic Grade Radiographer

Athlone Injury Unit

Closing Date

Friday the 10th of October 2025 at 12 Noon.

The successful candidate will be employed in the HSE. The initial assignment will be to the Athlone Injury Unit, Clonbrusk Primary Care Centre, Athlone, Co. Westmeath under the governance of the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. The candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity including the Midland Regional Hospital, as the service need arises.

Purpose of the Post

This allocation to support the opening of an Injury Unit in Athlone will provide increased capacity for patients with injuries, and reduce dependence on the Emergency Departments within the Region for this cohort of patient, specifically Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore.

suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

AND

(iii) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Radiography Division of the

Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

2. Annual registration

(i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the

Radiographers division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU.

AND

(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way

of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).

Post Specific Requirements

Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in Radiography as relevant to this post.
