Job summary

Sodexo Group in Little Island, Cork is seeking a Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. You will work 37.5 hours per week from 7:00am to 2:30pm, earning €16 per hour, with free meals on duty and access to Sodexo's employee benefits package.

The role involves preparing meals to client standards, maintaining high food safety levels, and contributing to a positive kitchen culture while exploring new techniques and ideas.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest or passion in cooking and progressing within a kitchen environment.
• Previous cooking experience is desirable but front of house / catering experience is also advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• To assist in the preparation and presentation of meals at the required times to the company's standard and client satisfaction.
• Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and health and safety are maintained
• To undertake all necessary cleaning to the Company’s standard, according to the cleaning rota, or as directed including walls (up to 6 feet), floors, fixtures & fittings, incl. canopies, equipment, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc
• Contribute to a positive and innovative kitchen culture
• Bring your ideas to the table and cook up new techniques
