Job description

On behalf of a scaling renewable energy infrastructure investor in Dublin, we are looking to hire a Modelling & Valuations Manager.

This role sits at the centre of how investment decisions get made, taking ownership of the models that drive everything from acquisitions and debt financing through to portfolio valuations and lender reporting. You'll be the one leading on valuation work across both new opportunities and existing assets, playing a key part in financing and refinancing activity, and turning that analysis into clear reporting for the Board, shareholders and lenders.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, own and continuously improve the integrated financial models used across the operating portfolio, and design new acquisition and project finance models as opportunities come in
  • Lead DCF, project finance and acquisition valuation work, stress testing outcomes through scenario, sensitivity and downside modelling, while helping shape the wider budgeting and long range planning process
  • Play a central role in debt financing and refinancing, including building lender facing models, tracking covenant headroom and weighing up different financing structures
  • Keep a constant read on how the portfolio is tracking against original investment assumptions, and own the valuations, dashboards and reporting that senior stakeholders rely on
  • Act as the finance lead on live transactions, from due diligence and reviewing external advisers' models through to pulling together investment committee and Board papers, while coordinating closely with legal, tax and technical advisers
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in corporate finance, investment banking, project finance, infrastructure investing, renewable energy finance, transaction services or valuation advisory, including at least 3 years building complex, integrated financial models from first principles
  • Hands on experience in DCF valuation, project finance modelling, acquisition and investment analysis, sensitivity and scenario analysis, and debt and covenant modelling
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills are essential and a track record of presenting financial analysis to senior stakeholders, boards or lenders
  • Private equity backed business experience and exposure to operational renewable energy assets or project finance lending is a strong advantage, though not essential

This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced financial modeller to join a fast growing renewable energy platform at a pivotal stage, taking real ownership of the models, valuations and analysis behind live M&A and financing decisions, with genuine scope to shape how the business models, values and reports as the portfolio scales.
