Job summary

Midland Tyre Service Ltd. is recruiting a Mobile Truck Tyre Technician for the Cork City & County team. The role is based on a mobile fleet and requires working with heavy truck tyres across customer sites and roadsides.

We seek candidates with strong English, proven truck tyre experience, and the ability to work independently within a remote Cork-based team, following safety protocols and using digital job cards. Salary reflects experience with a strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Significant experience and competency in working with truck tyres (car tyres not sufficient).
• Be able to demonstrate basic tyre and wheel rim husbandry, wear and damage, tyre & rim suitability.
• Experience working in dynamic locations including customer sites, live carriageways and other locations.
• Ability to work independently as part of a remote team.
• Ability to take instruction from Cork regional manager.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and processes.
• Fully utilise digital tools; all job cards processed on tablets.
• Embody the company's customer-first philosophy in all interactions.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Cork city.

Responsibilities

• Operate from mobile service vans and work as part of the Cork team in a rotating shift structure (typically Mon–Fri, 7am–5pm or 8am–6pm, subject to change).
• Carry out wheel and tyre replacements, fitments and repairs at customer sites and occasionally on roadside.
• Service sizeable fleets regularly in addition to maintenance and tyre replacements.
• Overtime opportunities available for additional income if required.

Due to significant expansion we are now recruiting for the position of Mobile Truck Tyre Technician for our Cork City & County team.

Please note that currently, we are only interested in hearing from candidates that meet the following criteria:

• Proficiency in english language (written and spoken).
• Significant experience and competency in working with truck tyres (Working with car tyres will not suffice).
• Be able to demonstrate basic tyre and wheel rim husbandry, wear and damage, tyre & rim suitability.
• Have experience with working in dynamic locations including customer sites, live carriageways and other locations.
• Ability to work independently as part of a remote team.
• Ability to take instruction and direction from Cork regional manager.
• Abide by organisational health and safety protocols and processes (customer & employer).
• Fully utilise all digital administrative tools (we are a fully digital organisation - all job cards are processed by the technician on one of our tablets).
• Embody the company's 'customer first' philosophy during all customer and third party interactions.
• You must live within a commutable distance of Cork city

What you'll do:

Operating from one of our modern, fully equipped and resourced mobile service vans, you will work as part of our Cork team in a rotating shift structure - Typically you will work Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm or 8am to 6pm but this can change as business needs change.

You will carry out wheel and tyre replacements, fitments and repairs at customer's sites as well as on roadside from time to time. Its important to note that this is not just a 'breakdown' only role - We also manage and service sizeable fleets on a regular basis.

We are a busy front line organisation and it it is not unusual for our technicians to fit 20 new truck tyres per day as a result.

We have regular opportunities for overtime for additional income if required.

Pay: €28,300.00-€52,719.86 per year
