Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Middle Years Program Lead (Trailblazers) based in Ireland.

The Middle Years Program Lead will shape and scale an innovative educational program designed for children aged 10–14, combining academic excellence with social-emotional development. This role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end curriculum design, integrating project-based and place-based learning experiences inspired by the world around students. You will develop engaging learning resources, assessment frameworks, and educational systems that support consistent delivery across international locations. Working closely with educators, education leaders, and cross-functional teams, you will empower teachers and foster meaningful student progress. You will also drive the integration of online learning providers and educational technologies to enhance the learning experience. As the program expands globally, you will play a pivotal role in establishing quality standards, supporting new launches, and ensuring educational excellence at scale. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional passionate about whole-child development, curriculum innovation, and building the future of global learning.

Accountabilities
  • Curriculum and Program Design: Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of the Middle Years curriculum, creating engaging project-based and place-based learning experiences aligned with the organization's core competencies and broader educational framework. Manage freelance curriculum designers when needed and ensure content reflects the academic, developmental, and social-emotional needs of middle years learners.
  • Assessment and Learner Progress: Develop assessment frameworks that measure both academic achievement and social-emotional growth. Use student data, educator feedback, and learning outcomes to identify improvement opportunities and establish effective systems for communicating learner progress across locations.
  • Quality Assurance and Professional Development: Define and maintain consistent standards for program delivery across all education centres. Ensure alignment with WASC accreditation requirements and applicable local regulations. Design scalable professional development initiatives that equip educators with the skills, resources, and guidance needed to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Online Academics and Educational Technology: Identify, evaluate, and manage online education providers responsible for core academic subjects. Lead the implementation of educational technologies across classrooms and collaborate with technology developers and internal product teams to improve existing tools and shape future learning solutions.
  • Global Implementation and Expansion: Partner with education centre directors and education leadership to support effective program delivery across academic, social-emotional, and behavioural dimensions. Contribute to launching the program in new destinations, gather on-site feedback, coach educators, and maintain a consistent experience for students and families worldwide.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the program's subject-matter expert, collaborating with teams across education, product, operations, real estate, interior design, admissions, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
  • International Travel: Travel regularly across global destinations to support local teams, observe classroom practices, strengthen educator relationships, and maintain consistent program quality.
Requirements
  • Curriculum Development Expertise: Several years of demonstrated experience designing, developing, and successfully implementing innovative curricula, with a strong understanding of educational program design and continuous improvement.
  • Project-Based Learning: Extensive experience designing and delivering engaging project-based learning experiences, ideally incorporating place-based learning and real-world problem-solving.
  • Middle Years Education: Strong understanding of the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of middle years learners. Experience developing high school programs is a significant advantage.
  • Educational Technology: Proven experience selecting and managing online education providers and implementing educational technology across multiple classrooms, campuses, or locations. Experience collaborating with developers on digital learning tools or contributing to educational product design is highly desirable.
  • Program Scaling and Quality Assurance: Experience improving teaching and learning at scale, establishing consistent standards, and building systems that support high-quality delivery across multiple sites or international locations.
  • Assessment and Learner Development: Ability to design meaningful assessment strategies, interpret learner data, monitor academic progress, and support students' social-emotional development.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside educators, program designers, external partners, and cross-functional teams. A collaborative approach to building programs and supporting professional development is essential.
  • Strategic and Operational Mindset: Ability to create scalable processes, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where new systems and solutions must be developed from the ground up.
  • International Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel regularly across international destinations to support implementation and maintain program consistency. Candidates based in Europe are preferred, while remote candidates able to work regularly during European business hours will also be considered.
  • Additional Requirements: A satisfactory enhanced criminal records check or equivalent will be required as a condition of appointment.
Benefits
  • Meaningful Impact: Contribute to an innovative educational approach that supports children's academic achievement, personal development, and global citizenship.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Lead the design of engaging, real-world learning experiences that connect education with the local environment and students' individual interests.
  • International Collaboration: Work alongside a diverse community of educators, education leaders, and cross-functional professionals across multiple global destinations.
  • Professional Growth: Take ownership of a rapidly expanding educational program and play a central role in shaping its long-term development and international reach.
  • Family Benefits: Access discounted tuition for your children at the organization's schools.
  • Remote Work Flexibility: Work remotely, with candidates based in European destinations preferred and regular availability during European business hours required.
  • International Exposure: Travel regularly across global destinations, gaining exposure to diverse learning environments and collaborating with local education teams.
  • Employment Type: Full-time position.
