Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Microbiology Analyst to support the Microbiology Quality Control testing function in a cross-functional team. The role is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract with a 39-hour week (Mon-Thu 08:00-15:30, Fri 08:00-15:30) at a client site in Ireland. Visa sponsorship is not available.

You will perform environmental monitoring and a range of microbiological analyses, review data, and assist investigations to ensure GMP compliance and high-quality results for clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology or related scientific discipline; minimum 1 year in pharma/GMP lab environment.
• Experience with environmental monitoring (EM) and cGMP principles in a regulated lab.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet timelines.
• Excellent written/verbal communication; build strong client and colleague relationships.
• Strong organizational, documentation and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Carry out environmental monitoring in GMP cleanrooms and manufacturing areas.
• Perform microbiological analyses (bioburden, endotoxin, identification, BacT/ALERT, sterility, growth promotion).
• Review/trend/interpret data; ensure records meet GMP and client procedures.
• Support deviations investigations and root-cause analysis; contribute to protocols and reports.
• Maintain audit-ready lab environment and support training across the Eurofins team.
