Job summary

ALS Life Sciences Limited is hiring a Microbiology Laboratory Technician in Clonmel. The role involves performing assigned lab tasks to high quality standards, following QC/QA processes, and maintaining a clean, compliant lab environment.

The position offers full-time employment with 12-hour shifts, starting salary €31,000 with progression after 6 months and an additional shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Science degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in laboratory testing is advantageous.
• Proficient PC literacy (Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Interest in food science and safety.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Perform work allocated by Shift Supervisor to high quality standards.
• Adhere to quality systems including calibration checks and daily controls.
• Keep laboratory areas tidy, especially designated areas.
• Ensure operations follow Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Perform other duties as required.
