Hobson Prior is currently seeking a Microbiology Analyst to join our client's team based in Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the quality and safety of biotechnology products through various microbiological tests and procedures. Your work will be crucial in maintaining high standards and supporting regulatory compliance.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the environmental monitoring program and conduct risk assessments.
  • Validate equipment and test methods for microbiological testing.
  • Perform growth promotion testing and manage cultures.
  • Conduct microbial limit testing on products and ingredients.
  • Assist with the site's water strategy and compressed air program.
  • Prepare and review laboratory procedures and reports.
  • Participate in investigations and change controls related to microbiology.
  • Support technical and regulatory audits.
  • Manage daily laboratory activities, including equipment and waste management.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A degree in Microbiology, Biological Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a microbiology lab within a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with method verifications and contamination control strategies.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
