Job summary

Rosborough Bros. Ltd T/A Quality Manufacturing Co. in Belgooly, Co. Cork, is seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Metal Fabricator to fabricate, assemble and weld components in line with drawings and specs.

You will read and interpret engineering drawings, set up TIG welding equipment, and ensure workmanship meets required quality standards while maintaining equipment and following safety procedures. This is a site-based role with potential for ongoing work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
• Measure, mark out, cut and prepare metal components for fabrication and welding.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, selecting appropriate welding parameters.
• Perform TIG welding to required quality standards.
• Fit, align and assemble metal parts prior to welding.
• Grind, clean and finish welded joints and fabricated components.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for defects.
• Carry out corrective work where required.
• Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working condition.

Salary: €20 per hour / €40,560 per year

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and TIG welding of metal components in accordance with technical drawings, specifications and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
• Measure, mark out, cut and prepare metal components for fabrication and welding.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, selecting the appropriate welding parameters and shielding gas.
• Perform TIG welding on metal components and assemblies to the required quality standards.
• Fit, align and assemble metal parts prior to welding.

• Carry out corrective work where required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder, Metal Fabricator, Fabricator-Welder or similar role.
• Strong practical experience in TIG welding and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Experience in measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling metal components.
• Good knowledge of welding equipment, shielding gases and fabrication techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
