Job summary

Cognizant Life Sciences Manufacturing in Cork, Ireland is seeking a MES Support Engineer to maintain and optimize the Syncade MES within a large biotech facility. You will provide technical support for MES users, monitor system performance, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

The role requires a technical background in computer science or software engineering, experience with MES applications, and familiarity with GMP practices and validation deliverables.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in a regulated environment.
3–5 years hands-on experience with requirements gathering, design documentation, test case development, system & integration testing, COTS implementations and validation deliverables.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing processes and systems, including automation such as Delta-V and Foxboro.

Responsibilities

Adhere to established GMP practices.
Provide technical support for MES system users.
Troubleshoot and resolve MES system issues.
Monitor and maintain system availability and performance, performing upgrades and changes as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve system issues.
Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
Participate in new functionality or upgrade projects.
On call support.
