Job summary

SimoTech in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an MES PAS-X Engineer to join a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical facility. The role blends EBR development with hands-on production support to ensure reliable manufacturing for critical processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Körber PAS-X MES, including EBR development.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide production support and troubleshoot MES-related issues effectively.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and GMP principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience working in cross-functional and hybrid team environments.
  • Experience with MES system integration (e.g., ERP, DCS, Labelling, etc.) or automation systems is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide MES support to production, resolving issues promptly to maintain manufacturing continuity.
  • Participate in system testing, commissioning, and validation activities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Implement changes and site projects under the client change management process.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise MES workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all system changes and configurations are fully documented and compliant with GMP requirements.
