Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an MES Engineer in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Hands‑on experience with MES system design, configuration, and implementation in GMP-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop MES recipes in line with corporate design standards to enable robust and compliant digital processes.
• Create and update MES design documents and validation deliverables in accordance with SDLC and GxP standards.
• Participate in testing and CSV activities for MES recipes and related configurations.
• Perform MES system administration and configuration, including equipment and material management, reports, and inventory management.
• Manage MES configurations and ensure connectivity with third-party systems such as SAP ERP, LIMS, CMMS, and process control systems.
• Support delivery of new digital capabilities and enhancements within MES applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements, resolve issues, and optimize workflows.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an MES Engineer in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Hands‑on experience with MES system design, configuration, and implementation, particularly in GMP-regulated environments.
• Knowledge of MES platforms such as Emerson Syncade or equivalent (e.g., Werum PAS‑X).
• Strong understanding of MES integration with enterprise and automation systems (SAP, LIMS, DeltaV, etc.).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Problem‑solving capability and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL Server is desirable.
