Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering seeks an MEP Detailer to deliver 3D and 2D co-ordination milestones on projects in an on-site BIM environment. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, producing detailed models and installation drawings, and may be based on-site or in the business unit office as required.

With a BIM focus, you will support clash resolution, model federation, and documentation to ensure timely, safe, and quality project delivery. Growth into Lead MEP Coordinator roles is possible.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services or BIM qualification.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience within a BIM Co-ordination function.
• Mechanical or Electrical background with proven leadership in a similar role.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Detailing of 3D elements needed for design and co-ordination.
• Production of 3D model files through Revit and Fabrication CAD.
• Production of 2D co-ordination and installation drawings.
• Clash detection of submitted files and federated model maintenance.
• Take instructions from Lead MEP Detailer on design issues.
• Site surveying and verification including point cloud scanning and total station operation.
• Maintain and update co-ordination documents and drawings.
• Assist with tenders and other drawing requirements.
