Job summary

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is seeking RCPI Trainers to support BST, HST and International training programmes. Trainers guide trainees toward specialist certification, with support from the Physicians and Trainers: Essential Skills Programme.

This role provides access to motivated trainees and a comprehensive trainer hub with resources and a formal Trainer Agreement. RCPI offers phased refresher training and a supportive environment, with policies and faculty backing to handle

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the relevant training Curriculum and the specialty specific learning objectives
• Arrange a one-to-one meeting with the Trainee at posting start to discuss duties, goals and training plan
• Review Trainee's previous evaluations to set goals for current post
• Ensure Trainee goals are signed off within six weeks
• Use Trainee's e-Portfolio to document interactions and sign-offs
• Support disciplinary and remediation actions as required
• Complete annual evaluations and respond to evaluation flows as required
