Specialist Irish Mechanical Contractor in Dublin City Centre is seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor to manage day-to-day mechanical services installations on a major hotel development. You will coordinate HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation and pipework with the project team, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a mechanical trade or engineering background, with prior supervision experience on hotel or large-scale construction projects.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade or engineering background required.
• Experience as Mechanical Site Supervisor, Foreman or HVAC supervisor preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, air conditioning and building services systems.

The Company

A specialist Irish mechanical contractor delivering major mechanical and HVAC packages across commercial, hospitality, residential, healthcare and other technically demanding projects.

The contractor provides mechanical services from design and BIM coordination through installation, testing and commissioning, with a strong focus on quality installation and programme delivery.

They are looking for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join the team on a major €60 million hotel development in Dublin City Centre. You’ll be working on the day-to-day delivery of the mechanical package, coordinating trades and subcontractors and ensuring installation works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

With further work across Dublin and a broad mechanical project portfolio, this offers good long-term prospects for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor looking to progress with a specialist mechanical contractor.

The Role – Mechanical Site Supervisor

As Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will take ownership of the day to day coordination of mechanical services installations on this high profile hotel project. Working closely with the Project Manager, site management team, subcontractors, and design teams, you will ensure all mechanical works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

The role will involve overseeing HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, pipework, and associated mechanical building services packages throughout the construction lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving quality standards and maintaining programme targets on a fast paced city centre development.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical subcontractors and direct labour on site
• Coordinate HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, and pipework installations
• Ensure all mechanical works are completed in line with drawings and specifications
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all mechanical activities
• Monitor project progress and assist with short term programme management
• Carry out quality inspections and snagging of mechanical installations
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with main contractor and design teams
• Assist with material management and site logistics planning
• Ensure accurate site records and reporting are maintained

About You

• Mechanical trade or engineering background
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman, or HVAC Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical building services systems
• Experience working on hotel, commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or large scale construction projects
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction projects
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme delivery
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Quality focused with strong attention to detail
