Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on site for major residential, commercial, and data centre projects in Ireland. The role focuses on delivering safely, on programme, and to the highest standards.

You will supervise subcontractors and site personnel, coordinate with the wider M&E teams, review drawings, manage materials and plant, and support testing and handover processes.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering or building services qualification is required.
• Leadership and communication skills are essential for site delivery.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements and construction processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate trades on site.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on site.
• Supervising mechanical subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Coordinating mechanical works with the wider construction and M&E teams.
• Ensuring installations align with drawings, specifications and programme.
• Liaising with Project Manager, engineers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Monitoring progress and reporting on programme and project performance.
• Reviewing drawings and identifying any technical or coordination issues.
• Managing materials, plant and labour requirements.
• Assisting with testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Attending site meetings and providing regular updates to the project team.
