Job summary

Glanua, based in Leinster, Ireland, is looking for a candidate with 3–5 years of experience working with a mechanical/electrical contractor. The role involves supporting engineering requirements, managing technical submittals, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, proficiency in Navisworks, and the ability to negotiate effectively. The position offers a Monday to Friday working week, 22 days annual leave, and access to a confidential employee counseling service.

The Role

• Support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with key project stakeholders (client design team, main contractor, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc.).
• Familiarise with Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the project works.
• Oversee the coordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel, ensuring spec compliance and adhering to schedule priority.
• Familiarise with the project schedule and ensure engineering activities do not impact it.
• Manage the technical submittals and approvals.
• Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and the project QA plan (e.g., pre‑agreed benchmarking).
• liaise with sub‑contractors and ensure adequate information flow to keep works progressing in line with the project schedule.
• Attend weekly meetings.
• Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance delivery time of the project.
• Prepare and agree on project completion criteria and close‑out documents.
• Prepare sub‑contractor and supplier tender packages in conjunction with Project QS.
• Manage the work packs process from development, implementation and handover.
• Manage BIM priorities, i.e., isometrics generation and release.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years of experience working with a recognised mechanical/electrical contractor.
• Excellent organisational and project planning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent negotiation, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Proficient in the use of Navisworks and database systems related to engineering functions.
• Familiar with Project / Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
• Good knowledge of piping/mechanical pipework.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
