Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Day Shift | Sponsorship Available

Candidates from Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Machine Installation, Plant Maintenance, Agricultural/Farm Machinery, Heavy Equipment or Automotive/Mechanic backgrounds may suit this opportunity.

CREGG are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing company in a fully onsite day-shift role. This position will suit someone with strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on experience working with machinery, pumps, fitting, welding, installation or mechanical maintenance.

The role is heavily focused on mechanical maintenance and equipment support, with electricians onsite to support electrical work. Experience reading electrical drawings or basic electrical troubleshooting would be advantageous but is not essential.

The company is open to candidates with transferable mechanical skills from industries such as manufacturing, automotive, agriculture, heavy machinery or industrial maintenance. Visa sponsorship can also be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment
• Support machine installations, fabrication, fitting and welding activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical equipment issues to minimise downtime
• Maintain pumps, machinery and production equipment
• Support continuous improvement and maintenance projects
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and maintenance procedures
• Work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team

Key Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in maintenance, fitting, mechanical repair or similar hands‑on environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with machinery, pumps, fabrication, fitting or welding
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience reading electrical drawings or fault-finding would be beneficial but not essential
