We’re Hiring – Mechanical Design Engineer (Nesting & Machine Programming)

Location: Tullamore, Ireland

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €30,000 – €40,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are recruiting for a full-time Mechanical Engineer for a company in the manufacturing and industrial equipment sector. This role focuses on nesting optimisation and machine programming to support efficient production and design processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop products
  • Create and interpret production drawings
  • Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design
  • Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) for production
  • Optimise nesting and machine programming for efficient manufacturing
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Experience with Pronest or other nesting software
  • Familiarity with production drawings and ability to modify them as needed
  • Understanding of nesting and machine programming processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
