Job Description

We're supporting a growing, award–winning client in their search for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based in Dublin. This role offers the chance to work on high–value projects across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharma, and Industrial.

The Role

Working within a skilled design team, you'll be responsible for producing compliant, efficient mechanical designs that support safe on–site installations. This is primarily an office–based role with regular project coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Mechanical system design in line with fire strategies and regulations
  2. Site surveys and attendance at design meetings
  3. Thermal modelling and ventilation load calculations
  4. Equipment sizing and selection (AHUs, chillers, pumps, etc.)
  5. Drainage, ductwork, and pipework design
  6. Preparation of layout drawings, schematics, and risk assessments
Requirements
  • Mechanical Design experience in building services (essential)
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in software such as Hevacomp, IES, CyMap, or Carrier HAP
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU design standards
  • Confident communicator and collaborative team player
