Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking a Low Risk Planner in Tullamore to plan and coordinate production across the Ham and Poultry departments, ensuring plans meet customer requirements and maximise capacity.

You will collaborate with Production, Procurement, Technical, Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics and Commercial teams to ensure materials and packaging are available, production runs smoothly, and issues are resolved quickly. Monday to Friday, full-time.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years' experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain in food manufacturing.
• Experience in meat, ham, poultry or chilled food production desirable.
• Strong understanding of labour, capacity, changeovers, downtime and material constraints.
• Strong Excel skills and data handling.
• Knowledge of food safety, traceability, allergens, stock rotation and sequencing.
• Organisational and problem solving abilities.
• Able to react quickly when plans change; good cross-department communication.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach to planning and production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production across Ham and Poultry to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure plans are achievable and aligned with stock levels, resources and capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Technical, Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics and Commercial teams to secure materials.
• React quickly to plan changes and make informed decisions to keep production moving.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting production flow.
