Job summary

Ifac is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Financial Controller to join our Kilkenny Head Office on a fixed‑term 12‑month basis, delivering accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and full regulatory compliance.

This role combines rigorous financial analysis with clear communication to senior stakeholders. You will lead the finance team, oversee year‑end processes for multiple units, coordinate audits, and partner with cross‑functional teams to drive sustainable value.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification with at least five years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a Financial Controller role for a business with €10m+ turnover.
• Experience in financial reporting for multiple units and statutory audits.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts for the Ifac Group with accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain robust accounting policies and internal controls.
• Monitor costs, identify trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvements.
• Oversee year-end processes and reporting inputs for all units.
• Ensure timely statutory and regulatory returns across the Group.
• Coordinate group audits and tax reviews with external stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the finance team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide trusted financial insight.
