Job summary

Creative Engineering Limited in Ireland is seeking a Materials Replenishment Planner for a JnJ facility. You will procure raw materials and packaging, manage intercompany purchases, and support the global PP&L replenishment strategy with a focus on cost and service.

The role requires 5+ years in senior supply chain roles within regulated manufacturing, experience with ERP systems (JDE XE preferred), and strong analytical, change management and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably Supply Chain related; IIPMM/APICS qualification is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and ERP systems, preferably JDE XE.
  • Project management experience; Six Sigma/Lean certification (JJPS, Green/Black Belt) highly desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior Supply Chain role within a high-volume regulated manufacturing environment; procurement/purchasing/planning function.
  • Minimum of 3 years procurement/sourcing experience preferred.
  • Experience in Operations, Logistics, Planning, and Forecasting; Change Management concepts.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies; strong ability to deliver results.
  • Proven ability to interact with cross-functional peers and senior management in a global setting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with structured messages and well-supported conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Procure (new) raw materials and packaging; manage intercompany purchases per procedures.
  • Support PP&L replenishment strategy, cost reduction standards and metrics.
  • Lead supplier S&OP meetings and be primary PP&L contact for supply escalations.
  • Implement a disciplined replenishment process focusing on total cost, quality and service.
  • Review replenishment demand and capacity with suppliers to identify constraints.
  • Build value-adding relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Maintain accurate MRP/replenishment parameters for assigned suppliers.
  • Monitor forecasted demand, inventory targets and quarterly spend projections.
  • Report supplier OTIF and PIT metrics; communicate internally and externally.
  • Mitigate supply chain risk; implement Kanban, VMI and centralized inventory.
  • Collaborate with Receiving, AP and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards; participate in audits and improvement projects.

Summary of the Role:

Materials Replenishment Planner within a JnJ Facility

Duties and Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Responsible for procuring (new) raw materials and packaging supplies as well as management of intercompany purchases in adherence to defined procedures and regulations.
  • Assist the global PP&L Replenishment team in the development and execution of the direct materials replenishment and supplier integration strategy, business plans, cost reduction standards and metrics creation and tracking.
  • Lead supplier S&OP meetings for assigned suppliers and act as primary PP&L point of contact for any related supply escalations. Assist in the further development of supplier S&OP process and deployment across external suppliers.
  • Institute a disciplined strategic replenishment process with a focus on continuous improvement in total cost, quality and service. Ensure global and local supply agreements and contracts are updated accordingly by Source partners.
  • Review direct materials replenishment demand and respective capacity loads with supplier to identify potential manufacturing constraints. Partner with the supplier, Supplier Relationship Manager and site functions to resolve and mitigate potential supply challenges.
  • Provide strategic influence while building value-adding relationships with key suppliers and internal customer groups by applying advanced knowledge of purchasing principles, practices, tools and technology.
  • Support PP&L Planning teams in tactical recurring connects with supplier (e.g. for PO management) as needed for issue resolution. Facilitate the maintenance of accurate MRP/replenishment parameters for assigned suppliers.
  • Responsible for forecasted demand consolidation, understanding drivers for demand variability, raw materials inventory targets and quarterly submission of Direct Materials spend projections.
  • Accountable for the timely submission and communication of supplier OTIF and PIT metrics internally as well as externally.
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate or reduce against risk in the supply chain and enhance supply capability. Implement Kanban, VMI, leverage from network opportunities, e.g. centralized inventory and purchasing, and other productive methods to achieve results.
  • Manage supplier relationships to achieve short and long-term business goals, in close collaboration with Source partners.
  • Work with Receiving, Accounts Payable and other departments as required to resolve issues, reconcile errors and correct the root cause of problems.
  • Review and improve supply chain processes assuring compliance with current regulatory standards and guidelines (Financial, EHS and Quality Assurance). Participate in audit preparation and support.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Experience & Qualifications
