Job summary

C&D Foods in Ireland is seeking a proactive Materials Coordinator to join our team. You will manage supplier POs, call off materials, maintain the MRP system, and support inventory targets to minimize waste and optimize cash flow.

In this role you will participate in supplier reviews, ensure on-time deliveries, and work closely with the Master Data Controller to keep BOMs and dates up to date. Strong IT skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong ability to manage multiple POs, inventory levels, and MRP updates.
• Prioritizes effectively and meets deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Attention to Detail.
• Clear & professional communication skills.
• Able to identify risks early and propose solutions.
• Good level of IT literacy – MS Office suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Supplier Purchase Orders with demand.
• Call off materials based on demand.
• Maintain the MRP system PO data.
• Lead weekly supplier meetings and report concerns.
• Manage supplier consignment stock adherence.
• Contribute to NPD meetings and run-in/run-out processes.
• Review obsolescence and extend aged ingredients where feasible.
• Maintain BOM dates with Master Data Controller.
• Manage on-site inventory aligned with capacity and Working Capital targets.
• Provide timely reporting including OTIF.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation and maintenance of Supplier Purchase Orders in conjunction with demand.


• Calling off materials based on demand.


• Constant PO maintenance on MRP system.


• To facilitate weekly meetings with all Key Suppliers reporting any concerns.


• To manage adherence to supplier consignment stock agreements.


• Participation in NPD meetings including the management of run in, run out process.


• To review quarterly potential obsolescent reviews for clearance to minimize financial exposure.


• To review ingredient aged product seeking extensions where feasible to minimize waste.


• Maintain transitional dates of BOM up to date in conjunction with the Master Data Controller.


• To manager on site inventory in accordance with capacity and aligned with Working Capital targets.


• Timely reporting of any issues.


• Preparation and support in periodic reporting: OTIF

Desirable Competencies/Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role is an advantage.
