Job summary

BioMarin is seeking a Material Planner for a 12-month contract in Cork, Ireland. The role ensures availability of raw material components to meet the production schedule across Drug Substance, Drug Product and Finish Goods Packaging Operations, within SAP ERP guidelines.

You will develop and implement systems to ensure optimal material coverage, maintain supplier performance KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and timely product launches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Honours Degree (NFQ level 7) in Supply Chain Management or related Business discipline is essential
• Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS) is preferred
• Project Management or Lean Certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) aligned to the Master Production Schedule in SAP
• Convert purchase requests into purchase orders and manage supplier invoices
• Monitor material release status to meet detailed schedules
• End-to-end inventory management including pricing, PPV, reserve, expiry, FIFO/FEFO, safety stock
• Issue quarterly supplier forecasts and maintain KPI dashboards for supplier performance (OTIF)
