This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

The role by its nature is quite varied, meaning that participants will get an opportunity to engage with lots of different types of work and develop new skills. The below list includes – but is not limited to - the types of projects that work placement participants can expect to support:

  • Online content creation for website and social media
  • Social media management – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Youtube
  • Video Production and/or photography
  • Graphic design
  • Event planning and promotion
  • Answering phones, taking messages, responding to emails
  • Representing Mayo North Tourism at events and trade shows
  • Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders around the region from business owners to community members, local authority, state agencies
  • General office duties

Essential:

  • Professional and friendly manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Some experience with mobile video content creation and editing

Desirable:

  • Experience working with Wordpress
  • Experience in managing social media for a business or voluntary organisation
