Job summary

Sanmina Fermoy in Ireland is seeking a proactive Section Leader to manage a team of 6–10 operators in a fast-paced, ISO13485-regulated manufacturing environment. You will coach, train and develop staff while ensuring delivery of quality products to schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, robust problem-solving, and excellent communication as you drive continuous improvement, shift planning and safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Team lead experience in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing facility.
• Results-driven with strong quality focus.
• Solid understanding of Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet hourly and daily output targets.
• Ensure adherence to ISO13485 standards and quality controls.
• Develop and mentor new hires through onboarding and buddy system.
• Coordinate shift coverage, holiday scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement and monitor scrap levels.
• Communicate with Supervisors and HR on recruitment and discipline.

We are looking for a leader to manage a team of 6-10 operators, if you have a experience current/previous in team leading and current/previous manufacturing operations experience we will provide full training on our manufacturing processes and ISO13485 standards.

• Rest Period: 4 days off


• This cycle repeats continuously to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Our Fermoy, Ireland, facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO ISO13485:2016 for the manufacture of high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies and complete devices up to and including Class III medical devices.

OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:

Quality: It is the responsibility of the Section Leader to ensure production operators assemble, test and handle all products in line with the documented specification and processes, thus ensuring that all products supplied to our customers are to the highest possible quality levels and conform to all specification requ

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Leadership: Drive your team to meet and exceed hourly and daily output targets while ensuring 100% productivity throughout the shift.Quality Excellence: Act as the guardian of quality, ensuring all products meet ISO13485 standards and addressing any deviations immediately through operator

coaching.Team Development: Lead the onboarding and "buddy" system for new hires, ensuring they are fully trained on work instructions and safety

protocols.People Management: Manage attendance, conduct performance reviews (3/6/12 month), and handle employee relations with a fair and proactive

approach.Shift Communication: Lead high-impact "Start-up Meetings" to align the team on quality, safety, and production goals.Continuous Improvement: Monitor and reduce scrap levels while ensuring all work instructions and process adherence protocols are strictly

followed.Operational Planning: Manage shift coverage, holiday scheduling, and payroll accuracy to ensure seamless production c

ontinuity.Safety Stewardship: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring 100% PPE compliance and maintaining a pristine, organized

workspace.Stakeholder Liaison: Provide early-warning updates on shipment timelines to Supervisors and collaborate with HR on recruitment and disciplinar
