Manufacturing Safety Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Safety Coordinator, on behalf of our client, a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in Dundalk.

This role supports Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management programs within the Manufacturing Department. It plays a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, licences, standards, and EHS management systems, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement on site.

The role is onsite in Dundalk and requires strong collaboration with manufacturing and EHS teams.

This is an initial 12-month contract, with the potential to become permanent depending on the candidate’s performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support effective EHS risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with EudraLex cGMP guidelines.
  • Organise and maintain GEMBA schedules, fostering a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate periodic EHS training with site and manufacturing training teams.
  • Promote and maintain a strong, proactive EHS culture across Manufacturing.
  • Lead or support investigations into safety events, ensuring root causes and corrective/preventive actions are identified.
  • Manage and review spill kit registers and ensure site-wide compliance.
  • Provide support in chemical and process risk assessments for new and existing projects.
  • Assist with the fulfilment of Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles such as First Aid Responder.
  • Review and analyse EHS events periodically to identify trends and improvements.
  • Act as a role model for adherence to company values and culture.
