Job summary

NovintiX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership across the site and act as a SME in engineering, automation, or process areas. You will work with the site management team to develop and deliver the future-state strategy.

You will lead Lean initiatives, support production, drive improvements, and mentor engineers and operators while coordinating with vendors and other units to meet cost, time, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ manufacturing experience, ideally within the MedTech industry.
• Experience in CNC programming and handling production equipment across the floor.
• Proven project management experience with delivery of business-critical projects.
• Experience in production process troubleshooting.
• Hands-on approach with ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to provide technical leadership in a regulated, results-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-improvement mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to lead significant projects and initiatives.
• Willingness to investigate and implement new technologies and automation solutions.
• Degree or master’s qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Engineering functional strategy.
• Provide support for manufacturing equipment on the production floor, as required.
• Champion operational excellence across the site.
• Benchmark and implement industry best practices.
• Plan and conduct engineering research and design activities, significant engineering and Lean initiatives.
• Standardise and optimise best practices and procedures across the organisation.
• Coordinate with other business units, vendors, and senior managers to ensure compliance with cost, time, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with business partners to resolve process and product issues.
• Evaluate project outcomes and provide manufacturing guidance and assistance as required.
• Provide technical leadership to staff engineers, senior engineers, engineers, co-op students, technicians, and operators, as required.
• Champion Lean manufacturing from an operations engineering perspective.
• Partner with the Continuous Improvement and Automation team.
