Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in New Product Introduction to drive product introductions from development to production ramp‑up in an Irish setting. You will review equipment designs for manufacturing readiness and create critical documentation while supporting new cell builds and processes.

You will analyse yield data, provide Gemba support, and contribute to SAP ME implementations. A cross‑functional, data‑driven approach with DMAIC/5 Why is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience, preferably in new product introduction.
• Strong understanding of process development, equipment qualification, and validation activities.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the introduction of new products from development through production ramp-up.
• Review critical equipment and fixture designs to ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Create, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation.
• Support infrastructure and facilities requirements for new manufacturing cells and build areas.
• Prepare and analyse yield and equipment downtime reports.
• Provide Gemba support and help drive cell improvements.
• Lead SAP ME implementation and related launch activities.
• Represent operations, report and escalate issues; use DMAIC and 5 why for root cause investigations.
