Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment seeks an engineer to lead New Production Introduction (NPI) and implement manufacturing processes for volume production in Galway. You will drive projects using proven methodologies and ensure compliance with the company Quality Management System.

Responsibilities include communicating status to internal and external customers, supporting continuous improvement, BOM management, and floor layout updates.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering qualification.
• Demonstrable capacity to learn new manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma tools; Green Belt or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Job description

* Responsible for New Production Introduction (NPI) implementing the manufacturing process for volume production.

* Lead on internal manufacturing processes/projects using Project execution methodologies and good manufacturing practices.

* Communicating with internal and external customers informing on project status updates, identifying risks and mitigation plans.

* Operating within company Quality Management system executing on good manufacturing practices and support audit readiness.

* Engage and champion a Continuous Improvement mindset, driving improvements across all metrics.

* Assist Business development function with the quotation process as required.

* Maintenance of Bill of Materials actioning customer change requests, updates and EOL scenarios.

* Support re-layout of production floors as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Level 8 Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Qualification.

* Demonstrable capacity, capability and desire to learn new manufacturing processes and techniques that may beoutside of the candidate’s current experience. This role provides significant personal and professional developmentopportunity.
