Job description

Mbryonics is at the forefront of free space optical communications. Our product portfolio covers a wide range of emerging technologies from photonic integrated circuits to advanced optical systems and embedded software solutions. Our optical communications systems are integrated and deployed in satellite communications systems. The work is exciting and challenging and is at the forefront of the technology domains. As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - Manufacturing Engineer- to join our group.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production in a technical environment. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality, production and R&D to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure seamless integration into production.
  • Lead process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
  • Identify and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source equipment, materials, and components.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or electronics.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of process validation and equipment qualification.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Fusion, AutoCAD) for process and fixture design.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with CNC machining is an advantage.
